| For
20 years Jeremy Gardiner has exhibited widely
in the United States, Europe and South America.
He was educated at Newcastle University and the
Royal College of Art, London and holds several
fellowships.
Now based in Bath, he has remained
responsive to his Purbeck origins, as instinct,
impulse and observation have shaped a visual language.
Over the years the paintings have undergone shifts
in sensibility and have varied in degrees of abstraction
with the underlying interest in expressing landscape.
Recent exhibitions include: Maltby
Contemporary Art Gallery, Winchester; Laing Landscape
Competition, Mall Galleries, London; 20th Century
British Art Fair, London; Belgrave Gallery, St
Ives; The Discerning Eye, Mall Galleries, London
Writing on Jeremy Gardiner's
work can be found in The New York Times; The Boston
Globe; The Independent; The Daily Telegraph; Folha
de Sao Paolo Arts Review.
