Wetpaint Gallery’s Christmas Show will be headlined by LS Lowry, the much loved and renowned painter of scenes of urban and industrial life in and around Manchester and the North of England. His ‘matchstick men’ and factory chimneys are instantly recognisable and have a firm home in the British psyche.
Wetpaint gallery will be showing a diverse collection of signed lithographs by Lowry at affordable prices, including iconic industrial depictions of factory and everyday life.
‘This exhibition promises to offer something for everyone,‘ says gallery owner Celia Wickham. ‘Lowry holds a special place in our hearts and his familiar images are much loved for their honesty and naïve charm. The exhibition will be fun, interesting and enchanting and we hope that it will attract many visitors during the run up to Christmas.’
Also on show will be prints, paintings and ceramics by some of Wetpaint’s most popular artists and a few new ones, including; Emma Dunbar, Catherine Hyde, Anita Klein, Fiona Watson, Ken White, Ali Yanya, April Young and Mary Rose Young.
